About the position

The NDWG Grant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the National Dislocated Worker Grants (NDWG) and related projects. This includes detailed planning, monitoring, case management, and reporting to ensure the successful implementation and closeout of grants. The role requires effective coordination with partners and service providers to meet grant goals and employer needs, as well as managing intensive placement services for grant participants.

Responsibilities

  • Plans the grant to accomplish the goals and measures outlined in the grant application and contract.
  • Coordinates and develops marketing efforts by designing, developing, and implementing marketing techniques.
  • Coordinates ongoing outreach to identify community resources and establish linkages.
  • Communicates and meets with all partners and service providers to assure grant goals and employer needs are met.
  • Performs and supervises intake/eligibility efforts for grant participants.
  • Manages all aspects of the provision of intensive placement services to grant participants, including recruitment, screening, assessment, training, and placement.
  • Monitors the activities of grant participants to assure progress to established goals and takes corrective actions as necessary.
  • Researches grant opportunities and collaborates with staff to develop, submit, and track proposals.
  • Conducts training and provides guidance to staff.
  • Makes work site visits as required to follow up on customer progress.
  • Tracks in-kind contributions towards grants.
  • Provides monitoring of grant services, files, and data entry to ensure quality of data integrity and compliance.
  • Coordinates and develops guidance and procedures to implement work.
  • Identifies opportunities for collaboration that will enhance services.
  • Coordinates grant activities with other grant-funded workforce staff and available financial resources to maximize funding and outcomes.
  • Cultivates and maintains a direct working relationship with all collaborating agencies to ensure high-quality seamless customer service and program coordination.
  • Coordinates with temp worker contractor to ensure onboarding, separation, training, record keeping, and other related tasks are complete, accurate, and timely.
