About the position

The Automation Lead Tester role focuses on leading automation and performance testing efforts, requiring strong expertise in Java and various testing frameworks. The position is designed for an experienced professional who can develop frameworks, write scripts, and ensure the performance and reliability of applications through rigorous testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation and performance testing efforts for software applications.
• Develop and implement testing frameworks using Core Java and Object-Oriented concepts.
• Write and execute test scripts using Selenium Web Driver and TestNG.
• Utilize JMeter for performance testing, including writing custom code for reusability.
• Conduct performance diagnostics, architecture design, and tuning for applications.
• Create performance engineering strategies and assess non-functional requirements.
• Design workload models based on production statistics analysis.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and suggest optimization solutions to development teams.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams in a Scaled Agile environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in automation and performance testing.
• Strong experience in framework development and coding in Core Java.
• Extensive experience in writing scripts for automation testing.
• Proficient in Selenium Web Driver and TestNG.
• Strong expertise in JMeter with at least 6 years of test scripting and execution experience.
• Experience in performance diagnostics, architecture design, tuning, and monitoring.
• Ability to create performance engineering strategies and workload models.
• Strong leadership, coordination, communication, analytical, and reporting skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Good knowledge of APM tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and Oracle OEM.
• Familiarity with clustering and high availability monitoring.
• Experience in scripting languages such as JavaScript.
