About the position

The Business Data Analyst role involves working closely with business and technical teams to ensure data quality and integrity before it is loaded into the Data Warehouse (DW). The analyst will be responsible for data profiling, preparing functional specifications, and mapping documents, as well as performing user acceptance testing (UAT) using SQL scripts. This position requires a solid understanding of RDBMS concepts and strong analytical skills, particularly in the healthcare domain.

Responsibilities

• Perform Data Profiling to identify data issues before data is loaded into the Data Warehouse.
• Prepare Functional Specifications based on interactions with Business and Technical teams.
• Create Mapping Documents for Development and QA teams, detailing joins, filters, and ranking to ensure unique records.
• Present draft versions of Data Models.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Business Checkout using SQL scripts.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with Data Warehouse projects.
• 5 years of experience with SQL.
• 10 years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) or Technical role.
• Solid knowledge of the Healthcare domain.
• Experience in Data Warehouse projects, preferably in sourcing or outbound extracts.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good analytical skills.
• Experience in preparing Source to Target Mapping.
• Experience in performing Gap Analysis and Data Profiling.
• Experience in preparing Functional Specifications in collaboration with Business teams.
• Strong SQL skills.
