About the position
Visiting Angels NNMP is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to join our growing team. This role focuses on providing non-medical assistance to seniors in their homes, ensuring they can age gracefully and comfortably. The position offers flexible shifts, opportunities for advancement, and a supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical assistance to seniors in their homes
- Interact with patients in multiple languages
- Assist with mobility, including walking and transfers
- Monitor medication schedules and provide reminders
- Assist with personal care and hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation tasks
- Monitor patients overnight, assisting with mobility challenges and transfers
Requirements
- Experience working with dementia patients is a plus
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Current CNA, NA, PCA, or HHA certification, or willingness to obtain one prior to starting work
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to pass drug screening and criminal background check
