About the position

As a Needle Packaging Production Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process on designated lines, ensuring that our high-quality medical products are manufactured efficiently and safely. This position requires you to be adaptable, as you may be trained on various processes within the department, including Safety Glide, Needle Inline Process, Multi-Vacs, Integra, Molding, and the Utility role. Your responsibilities will include performing visual inspections, assembly, and packaging operations, all while achieving production rate and quality goals on assigned equipment. In this role, you will be expected to utilize tools such as 10x microscopes, calipers, and other gauges to ensure product quality. You will also be responsible for data entries in SAP and may need to cover for absences and vacations to maintain normal production outputs. Your tasks will include following the production schedule, processing SAP and MES transactions, driving the completion of rework, assisting with the BDA process, and participating in blitz teams for the department. This position is essential for maintaining the flow of production and ensuring that all safety and quality standards are met. Responsibilities

  • Achieving established production goals
  • Ensuring the quality of all product produced
  • Performing quality checks as designated
  • Ability to function as part of a team
  • Processing SAP and MES transactions for department
  • Assisting in the BDA process to identify root causes
  • Perform duties in accordance with GMP principles
  • Maintain compliance with all required document training
  • Operate safely each day including usage of proper PPE
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Operate lines in a safe and efficient manner
  • Submit at least the minimum number of required Kaizens annually
  • Drive department results by reducing downtime and completing tasks in an efficient manner
  • Maximize efficient time usage in the department

Requirements

  • Must have completed High School Diploma/GED or 2 years of Industrial, Manufacturing experience
  • Problem solving/decision making skills
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Regular, punctual attendance required
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
