About the position

NEFT Vodka USA, Inc. is seeking a Market Manager to join our team, focusing on the Northern California area, specifically in San Francisco or the East Bay. This remote position is crucial for driving distribution and sales for our award-winning vodka, recognized for its quality and eco-friendly packaging. The Market Manager will work closely with the VP of the Western Region to develop and execute strategic sales and distribution plans aimed at increasing case sales, revenue growth, and market share within the assigned territory. The role requires a deep understanding of local market conditions and the ability to build strong relationships with distributors and trade accounts. In this position, the Market Manager will be responsible for maintaining an intricate knowledge of NEFT Vodka's history, philosophy, and core values, ensuring that these are communicated effectively to all stakeholders. The role involves actively driving sales in high-profile accounts, identifying and contacting potential on and off-premise accounts, and utilizing market analysis to manage pricing and portfolio integrity. The Market Manager will also conduct consumer and trade tastings, lead distributor sales meetings, and provide training to distributor personnel to ensure the successful execution of marketing strategies. The position demands a significant amount of fieldwork, with approximately 80% of the time spent selling, 10% on territory analysis, and the remaining time on account preparation and administrative tasks. The Market Manager will be expected to meet monthly sales goals as directed by the VP of Sales for the Western Region and will be involved in various other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Work with VP Western Region to develop and execute strategic sales and distribution plans for Northern California.
  • Enhance knowledge of local market conditions and grow relationships within all trade channels.
  • Maintain knowledge of NEFT Vodka's history, philosophy, vision, and core values.
  • Drive NEFT sales in top key high-profile accounts in the territory.
  • Identify, contact, and sell to targeted on and off-premise accounts.
  • Utilize VIP analysis and key relationships to manage pricing and portfolio integrity.
  • Track, record, and follow up on sales interactions to close accounts.
  • Build trust and loyalty with distributors, accounts, and colleagues.
  • Conduct consumer/trade tastings and events as necessary.
  • Conduct weekly or monthly distributor sales meetings and training sessions.
  • Review company intranet updates and team calendars to stay informed of events and activations.
  • Spend a minimum of 80% of time in the field selling, with the remainder on analysis and administrative tasks.
  • Execute monthly sales goals as directed by the VP of Sales Western Region.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of industry sales experience required with a distributor or supplier.
  • Knowledge of general spirits industry products and production.
  • Articulate and impactful in group presentations and meetings.
  • Experience in developing and implementing luxury brand building strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strategic thinking to contribute to long-term business plans.
  • Proven leadership ability, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Ability and willingness to work and travel on nights and weekends.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and perform repetitive lifting, bending, pulling, and pushing.
  • Valid driver's license and residence within the prescribed territory.
