About the position

The Negotiator/Media Buyer role at Publicis Media Exchange involves connecting marketplace dynamics with client goals in local media investments. This position focuses on managing local video and audio campaigns, ensuring adherence to client guidelines, and advocating for diversity and inclusion in media investments. The role is hybrid, requiring three days in the office each week, and is suitable for individuals with no prior experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build schedules for medium ranked or medium complexity markets based on client guidelines for Local Video and Audio.
  • Work with Supervisor to understand important client plans and timelines to manage workload, using PMX benchmarks within Investment of Local video and audio campaigns.
  • Follow the most updated client buying guidelines for assigned clients.
  • Input and improve any sports and special campaigns previously negotiated for assigned clients and markets by the Specialist Team, communicating any issues with the team.
  • Integrate PMX partner deals within schedules for Local Video and Audio.
  • Monitor and improve delivery of Local Video and Audio investments within flight when current data is available.
  • Inform Client Leads of any issues with a PMX partner's against goals and excessive makegoods.
  • Report and monitor preemption and makegood levels with Client Leads and Analysts, and work with sellers to lead improvement.
  • Promote added value and ensure stations are following delivery standards.
  • Provide important data to marketplace behaviors throughout the year using the Hotsheet for nuances and input.
  • Monitor and inform Client Leads of marketplace pricing updates.
  • Advocate for multicultural & diversity inclusion through Investments, championing the 4As Fair Play Charter and all other diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Mentor Associate Negotiators on strategies across Local Video and Audio Channels.
  • Complete Media training beyond the 101 level.
  • Conduct all post buy performance tasks including override input and rationale documentation, final delivery reporting, securing and tracking owed ADU/UDW.
