About the position

The Northeast Microelectronics Coalition (NEMC) Hub is a new division of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MassTech) that aims to unite industry leaders, academic institutions, and innovative startups to foster collaboration and accelerate progress in the domestic microelectronics sector. As a Marketing Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the launch and member engagement strategy of the NEMC Hub. This position involves assisting the management team with a variety of day-to-day responsibilities while also contributing to longer-term strategic projects and priorities. In this role, you will be responsible for member management, which includes cleaning up and organizing existing member data in the Airtable database, crafting and deploying email campaigns to gather member information, and assisting in the development of a new member onboarding process. You will also engage in community building by researching and curating event calendars relevant to the Hub's focus and developing engagement plans for both virtual and in-person events that showcase industry expertise, startup innovations, and academic breakthroughs. Communication and collaboration are key components of this internship. You will deploy regular communications to current and prospective members and assist in setting up a members-only section of the NEMC Hub website. Additionally, you will research and draft content for the Hub's public website, ensuring a clear and informative page structure. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in launching and managing a consortium, developing strong data management skills, honing communication and outreach abilities, and contributing to the creation of a brand-new online community platform. Responsibilities

  • Clean-up and organize existing member data in Airtable database.
  • Craft and deploy email campaigns to existing and new members to gather member information.
  • Assist in developing and implementing a new member onboarding process.
  • Research and curate internal and external event calendars relevant to the Hub's focus.
  • Develop engagement plans for virtual and in-person events showcasing industry expertise, startup innovations, and academic breakthroughs.

Requirements

  • Junior or Senior currently enrolled in a four-year degree program or graduate program.
  • 2-4 years of post-secondary school work experience with a focus on marketing, business, advertising, or a related field of study.
