About the position

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team at Safecare Transports. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle, and a commitment to safety standards. Experience in commercial driving, paratransit, or bus driving is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicles to transport passengers to their destinations.
• Maintain the vehicle in good working condition through regular inspections and maintenance.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Communicate effectively with passengers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
• Perform heavy lifting as needed when assisting passengers with luggage or mobility devices.
• Keep accurate records of trips, including mileage and passenger counts.
• Provide exceptional customer service by being courteous and professional at all times.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in commercial driving, paratransit, or school bus driving is highly desirable.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and assist passengers as needed.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and team members.
• A commitment to safety and adherence to traffic regulations.
• Previous experience in customer service is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if required.
