The Navy Directorate for Information Dominance is undergoing a significant transformation by consolidating all Tier-1 IT service desks into a unified Knowledge-Based solution known as the Navy Enterprise Service Desk (NESD). This initiative aims to enhance efficiency by integrating people, processes, and technology, ultimately improving the customer experience for Sailors, Marines, civilians, and their support systems both afloat and ashore. As part of this effort, we are seeking Conversational AI Engineers to join our team. This position is fully remote within the U.S., allowing for flexibility while contributing to a critical mission. As a Conversational AI Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing AI functionalities that will be integrated into existing applications. Your work will involve collaborating with data engineers, machine learning engineers, and data scientists to create adaptive Virtual Helpdesk Agents that leverage artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing. These agents will continuously learn and improve with each interaction, ensuring they can effectively support the diverse systems utilized by NESD. Your responsibilities will include solving various business challenges using Conversational AI software, designing and monitoring AI systems, and educating the broader team on the capabilities and limitations of AI technologies. You will also lead the search for innovative AI technologies to enhance our operations and train teams on the implementation of these systems. This role is essential in driving the success of NESD and ensuring that our IT service desks operate at peak efficiency.
