About the position

The .Net Application Development Analyst will play a crucial role in preparing for the transition to the Florida PALM system by analyzing, documenting, and remediating existing applications. This position requires expertise in .NET, Angular, React, SQL Server, and Oracle, focusing on both on-premises and cloud-based applications. The analyst will work closely with management and technical teams to ensure that applications meet the new system's requirements and improve overall functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current web applications and document the specifications.
  • Work with management to develop an overall remediation strategy for all impacted web-based applications and databases.
  • Analyze existing web applications and collaborate with business users to determine improvements based on current business needs.
  • Remediate web applications based on analysis to prepare them for FDOT use of PALM.
  • Collaborate with database administrators to create database views and stored procedures for application database remediation.
  • Update web applications to incorporate changes mandated by Florida PALM.
  • Analyze financial data and make recommendations to improve the data model of financial systems.
  • Utilize Azure DevOps to manage work tasks, code assets, and deployments.
  • Attend regular scrum and team meetings and participate in collaborative activities with team members and customers.
  • Work on maintenance activities for Application Services.
  • Perform knowledge transfer with technical staff of the office of the Comptroller and Application Services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a field related to technology or finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in ASP.NET, Javascript UI libraries (Angular, React), SQL Server, and Oracle.
  • Experience developing applications in ASP.NET, Angular, or React, and familiarity with on-premises and cloud-based web applications.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle relational database management systems.
  • Well versed in software development and agile best practices.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Understanding of implementing solutions with multiple data sources and across various technologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of various development platforms and full stack development.
  • Knowledge of the SCRUM Framework.
  • Knowledge of financial systems such as ERP.
  • Familiarity with data management concepts such as ETL, Data Warehousing, Operational Data Stores, Data Lakes, and Master Data Management.
