About the position

We are seeking an experienced .Net DevOps Engineer with 5-10 years of experience to join a well-established client of our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in .NET development, GitHub expertise, and a solid understanding of DevOps methodologies. This role involves migrating applications, creating CI/CD workflows, and leading the resolution of deployment issues. The candidate should be proficient in scripting for automation and possess excellent problem-solving and leadership skills. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a blend of development and operational expertise, who is passionate about driving efficiency and innovation through DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Migrate .NET applications and other artifacts from Team Foundation Server to GitHub Enterprise.
• Create CI/CD workflows to deploy to on-premises servers and other target environments.
• Assist development teams in adopting DevOps methodologies and best practices.
• Lead the resolution of production deployment issues, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient problem-solving.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in .NET development and DevOps practices.
• Strong experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions, including setting up and managing repositories, workflows, and automation.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in .NET development, encompassing both backend and frontend components.
• Proficiency in scripting languages for automation tasks (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong leadership skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) for deployment and management.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
