About the position

Gridiron IT is seeking a Web Developer to work onsite in Chantilly, VA, with an active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance. The role involves being a key member of an AGILE development team, utilizing technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, Bootstrap, CSS, C#.NET, SQL, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to develop business applications in support of a government customer. The developer will collaborate closely with analysts, project leads, UI/UX developers, testers, and customers to define requirements, implement business logic, and refine applications. This position also entails providing support and troubleshooting for existing production applications. The responsibilities include researching, designing, developing, and modifying software systems, whether custom, Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS), or Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS). The developer will work closely with business analysts, UI/UX developers, and subject matter experts to understand functional requirements and develop cost estimates for software development and enhancements. Conducting impact analysis for software changes and adhering to program configuration change control standards are also critical aspects of the role. The developer will present ideas for system improvements, produce detailed specifications, write software code, and conduct unit testing. Additionally, they will write interfaces and conversion routines leveraging web APIs, support formal testing in a controlled environment before code promotion to production, and provide input into training manuals for users. Maintaining knowledge of feature and technical changes in the application is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a member of an AGILE development team working with various web technologies.

Requirements

  • An active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph is required to begin employment.
  • Experience with C#.NET and Bootstrap with 4+ years of relevant web development experience.
  • Knowledge of basic web programming languages such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Understanding of web development principles, techniques, languages, and standard programming styles and conventions.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field.
  • Ability to manage multiple priority tasks and self-motivate task identification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with developing applications built upon AWS services.
  • AWS Certification (AWS Developer Associate or AWS DevOps Engineer Professional).
  • Experience with Python.
  • Knowledge of Agile software development.
  • Understanding of the DoD or IC communities.
