About the position

The .Net Developer with Oracle PL/SQL position is a contract-to-hire role located in Downtown Houston, TX. The successful candidate will be expected to work three days in the office and two days remotely. This role involves planning, developing, coding, testing, migrating to production, distributing, and supporting package software, as well as maintaining and supporting applications within environments such as Oracle, PL/SQL, and .NET. The candidate must have a strong background in PL/SQL and .NET, as well as experience with web services, XML, ASP.Net, HTML, MS SQL Server, and MS Visual Studio, which includes C# and Visual Basic. The role requires the ability to execute analysis, design, development, and maintenance activities with minimal supervision. Additionally, the candidate should be open to learning new technologies, including mobile software, WebSphere Portal, FileNet, Sybase, SharePoint, SOA, and Business Objects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, code, test, and migrate applications to production.
• Distribute and support package software.
• Maintain and support applications within Oracle, PL/SQL, and .NET environments.
• Develop web services and work with XML, ASP.Net, and HTML.
• Utilize MS SQL Server and MS Visual Studio (C#, Visual Basic) for development tasks.
• Execute analysis, design, development, and maintenance activities with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Must have experience with PL/SQL programming.
• Must have experience with .NET development.
• Experience with web services, XML, ASP.Net, and HTML is required.
• Proficiency in MS SQL Server and MS Visual Studio (C#, Visual Basic) is necessary.
• Ability to work independently without significant supervision.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Linux is preferred.
• Development and support experience in Service Suite Work Order System is a plus.
• Knowledge of mobile software development is a plus.
• Familiarity with WebSphere Portal, FileNet, Sybase, SharePoint, SOA, and Business Objects is beneficial.
