About the position

The .NET Developer position is a full-time role based in Shelton, CT, requiring a hybrid work arrangement. The consultant will be responsible for back-end development, focusing on C#/.NET applications that utilize a SQL Server database. The role involves analyzing project requirements, implementing code changes, and ensuring thorough testing and documentation of the development process.

Responsibilities

• Provide analysis and hands-on development programming for C#/.NET applications.
• Identify and analyze impacted code bases based on business specifications or change requests.
• Determine appropriate fixes and enhancements to existing code.
• Analyze impacts on related downstream applications and systems.
• Document affected functions and communicate changes to technical and business audiences.
• Implement required code changes following current coding standards and practices.
• Understand and apply applicable test cases for unit testing.
• Analyze data operations for accuracy and consistency.
• Unit test changes and address any code defects or change requests.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience with C#/.NET.
• Proficient in SQL Server, including SQL scripts and stored procedure creation.
• Experience with development environments such as Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio.
• Familiarity with source control tools like SVN and Git/Azure DevOps.
