About the position

Peraton is seeking a skilled .NET Developer to join our high-performing team supporting the Department of State's eOPF Program. This hybrid position requires the candidate to work onsite at least one day a month and must be local to the DMV area. The successful candidate will provide expertise and direction in the development and modification of computer-based, technical, and business software systems. This role involves designing, developing, coding, testing, and debugging software while working closely with users to define system scope and objectives. The developer will also provide analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases of projects. In this position, the developer will review and evaluate systems and software to ensure adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria. They will confirm that design mitigations are captured in the design documentation and verify their implementation. The role requires interfacing with government engineers and architects regarding architecture standards, guidelines, and policies based on needs and anticipated technology advances. Additionally, the developer will define templates and set best standards and practices for development teams to utilize, coordinate with platform vendors for issues and support requests, and work with operations personnel and application users to troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Responsibilities

  • Provides expertise and direction in the development and/or modification of computer-based, technical, and business software systems.
  • Designs, develops, codes, tests, and debugs software.
  • Works with users to define existing or new system scope and objectives.
  • Provides analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases.
  • Reviews and evaluates systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria.
  • Confirms design mitigations are captured in the design and its documentation and verifies implementation.
  • Interfaces with government engineers/architects regarding architecture standards/guidelines/policies based on needs and anticipated technology advances.
  • Defines templates and sets best standards and practices that development teams can utilize.
  • Coordinates with platform vendors for issues and support requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience. Additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree.
  • Experience working with one or more of the following: C#, Visual Basic, .NET Framework, MVC, Angular, JavaScript, JSON, Oracle, PL/SQL, Web Services, HTML/HTML5.
  • Experience working in agile, software development, and production environments.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Security clearance.

  • Experience as a full stack developer.
