About the position

As a Manager on the National Federal Tax Services (NFTS) team at Deloitte, you will lead the design, analysis, development, implementation, and deployment of data-driven, web-based applications. This role combines project management responsibilities with technical oversight, requiring you to supervise and mentor team members while ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will work closely with clients and other development teams to address business problems and maintain existing systems, all within a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, develop, implement, and deploy new data-driven web applications.
  • Supervise and mentor senior and staff team members.
  • Provide support for existing systems and deliver end-to-end web solutions for moderate to complex projects.
  • Conduct code reviews and unit testing of new development, creating unit test plans and scenarios.
  • Review project requirements and estimate time-to-completion.
  • Document new developments, procedures, or test plans as needed.
  • Interact with other development teams to ensure a consistent approach to software development.
  • Develop and maintain software frameworks and services using the .NET framework and Microsoft technologies.
  • Prepare technical design documents using enterprise standard documentation tools.
  • Deploy integration artifacts to testing and production environments.

Requirements

  • 8+ years' experience in .Net programming.
  • Experience in web design and development in Microsoft technologies (.Net 3.5 or higher).
  • Experience with VP.Net, C#, Ajax, XML/XSLT/XPATH, ADO.NET, VB.NET, MVC, Angular.js, and Object-oriented programming.
  • Bachelor's degree in business information systems, computer science, business/technology or similar degree.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MSCD).
  • Strong project management experience using Agile/SCRUM process.
  • Knowledge of secure software development best practices.
  • Experience with SDLC methodologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel-based reporting from web applications.
  • Strong understanding of .Net Fundamentals (i.e., interfaces, inheritance).
  • Experience developing ASP.Net web services, windows services, and WCF.
  • Knowledge of design patterns and architectural patterns.
  • Experience with Visual Studio 2010 or higher.
  • Experience with Source Control - TFS 2010.
  • Experience with SQL Server 2012 or higher.
  • Experience with database design, querying, stored procedures, views, joins, performance etc.
  • Experience with SSIS.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct live and virtual training programs.
  • Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage an offshore team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge on QlikView, HTML5, jQuery, and Kendo.
  • Experience working in Financial Services environment.
  • Experience working in consulting environment.
