About the position

The Instructional Developer Senior will assist in the planning process, work with, and supervise other assigned project personnel, and coordinate the project with administrators. The role involves conducting analyses to identify and validate training requirements, documenting results of analyses, and developing and recommending alternative training strategies for consideration of decision-makers. The developer will also be responsible for developing training planning data including resource requirements, determining follow-on training recommendations, and establishing the functional characteristics of the instructional delivery system. Additionally, the position requires the development of testing instruments to pretest learners' previous learning levels and measure cognitive, psychomotor, and performance accomplishments during evaluations. The developer will guide, review, and approve the sequence of learning experiences based on learning psychology and will plan meetings, prepare agendas, keep the project team on track, lead discussions, and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning process and supervise project personnel.
  • Conduct analyses to identify and validate training requirements.

  • Develop testing instruments to measure learners' achievements.
  • Assist in formative and summative evaluations.

  • Plan meetings, prepare agendas, and lead discussions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Education, Psychology, or Instructional Systems Design.
  • 6+ years of related experience.
  • Experience in all phases of instructional system development.
  • Must be able to hold a Secret security clearance.
  • US Citizenship required.

  • Functional understanding of ISD products and services.
  • Broad understanding of current technical issues and training system design trends.
