About the position

The Network Administrator at CCL Healthcare is responsible for maintaining and administering the IT infrastructure, which includes network switches, servers, workstations, and peripherals. This role requires minimal supervision and involves ensuring the efficient operation of systems, implementing security measures, and providing technical support to users. The position is crucial for optimizing the network and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and figuring out the system needs of the organization
  • Installing hardware and software for the network
  • Keeping systems operating efficiently by performing necessary upgrades and repairs
  • Planning a strategy to maintain system security on the computers and the network as a whole
  • Optimizing and evaluating the system regularly
  • Assigning and updating security permissions for the system network
  • Training or directing users on the correct use of software and hardware within the system
  • Performing problem-solving tasks when alerted by a user or monitoring system
  • Providing end-user support, resolving technical issues and providing technical assistance for all operating systems
  • Setting up new hires with equipment and appropriate access to the company's system
  • Maintenance of the business software applications
  • Implementing, installing, configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting, and evaluating existing and new operating systems
  • Conferring with database programmers, analysts, or other system administrators

Requirements

  • Proficient English skills (speak, write, read)

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, and all levels of management

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
  • Familiarity with Dell Vxrail, VMware, Vcenter, Vsphere
  • Experience with Cisco and Meraki switches, Wireless, Cameras
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals and concepts
  • Knowledge of security best practices
  • Scripting experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with Mac OS is a plus
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of applicable experience
