About the position

The Network Administrator I position is a highly technical role responsible for maintaining the integrity of computer networks, servers, security, backup, and connectivity. This position involves designing, administering, managing, configuring, implementing, and maintaining network systems. It differs from lower-level positions by providing advanced technical support and overseeing project teams, which carries a higher consequence of error. The role may also include customer support services in smaller installations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the integrity of networks, servers, security, backup, and network connectivity.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree with one year of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with three years of relevant experience, or five years of relevant experience in network administration.
  • Experience in the operation, installation, or maintenance/repair of computer network servers or network operating systems.
