About the position

Nemean Solutions, LLC is seeking a Network Administrator (Network Engineer III) to join our team at the Global Simulation Capability, National Simulation Center, located in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the National Simulation Center (NSC) Support Operations task order under the MTCCS II IDIQ. The Network Administrator will be responsible for the overall management coordination of all technical, networking, simulation, exercise design, and administrative support activities. In this role, you will assist the Government in the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of simulation systems and tools, as well as exercise and training events. You will provide strategic solutions aimed at standardizing technology, technical documentation, and technical support models across the site(s). Additionally, you will be expected to attend various training sessions, seminars, conferences, exercise/experiment planning events, site surveys, and training events to enhance your skills and contribute to the team's success. The position requires a proactive approach to managing and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking hardware. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining server platforms and network devices, ensuring optimal performance and security of the network. This role is essential for ensuring that the technical aspects of simulation and training events run smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct overall management coordination for all technical, networking, simulation, exercise design, and administrative support.
  • Assist the Government in the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of simulation systems and tools, and exercise and training events.
  • Provide strategic solutions for standardizing technology, technical documentation, and technical support models across the site(s).
  • Attend training, seminars, conferences, exercise/experiment planning events, site surveys, and training events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Network Management or a related field, or 5 years of recent network engineering or similar experience may be substituted for degree.
  • 3 years of experience in network architecture design and implementation.
  • 3 years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining server platforms and network devices, including firewall configuration.
  • Strong skills in managing and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking hardware.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in network protocols, IP networking, and network security practices.
  • DoD IAT II & SECRET Clearance.
