About the position

The Network Administrator at Credence Management Solutions is responsible for managing the day-to-day IT operations of the Center's teaching and research laboratories. This role includes providing classroom IT laboratory support for cyber-attack and exploitation courses, developing laboratory exercises for cyber professional continuing education curricula, and ensuring the functionality of network solutions and hardware/software configurations for students, faculty, and staff. The position also involves maintaining Video Teleconference (VTC) systems and configuring VMware Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) for optimal performance across virtual machines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day IT operations of the Center's teaching and research laboratories.
  • Provide classroom IT laboratory support for cyber-attack and exploitation courses.
  • Develop laboratory exercises for cyber professional continuing education curricula.
  • Provide network solutions and support for hardware/software needs and configurations requested by students, faculty, and staff.
  • Maintain and operate the Video Teleconference (VTC) systems.
  • Configure VMware Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) to balance the load from virtual machines across all hosts on the cluster.

Requirements

  • Clearance: TS/SCI
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field with Security + or Network + certification, or Bachelor's degree with Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
  • Ten years of DoD and private sector experience in information security, computer networking, and system administration.
  • Proficiency in system administration and computer networking, including administering LANs, troubleshooting systems, and hardware/software deployment.
  • Experience in configuring and maintaining a VMware software and vCenter server cluster.
  • Proficiency in system security administration for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Linux/Unix, BSD Unix, Apple iOS, and Android OS.
  • Proficiency in network design and configuration, including Cisco routers, switches, wireless access points, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with asset management and tracking using WASP® Mobile Asset software.
  • Familiarity with VTC systems such as Tandberg and Polycom.
