About The Position

The Network Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) by managing and modernizing the network infrastructure. This position involves ensuring the security, availability, and optimization of network systems while adhering to DCSA and DoD policies. The role requires expertise in emerging technologies and the ability to conduct day-to-day network operations, support cloud migration initiatives, and maintain documentation for network operations.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
  • Nine (9) or more years of relevant experience, or four additional years in lieu of a degree.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • IAT-II Certification (CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, or Security+CE).
  • Applicable Network Environment (NE) Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Support management of network infrastructure operations, maintenance, and administration for non-virtual and virtual systems.
  • Research, maintain, and apply expertise in emerging technologies and industry developments.
  • Conduct day-to-day network operations and administration activities.
  • Perform network and site survey support to DCSA offices, including travel to field offices.
  • Provide IT/Communications Security (COMSEC) support.
  • Ensure infrastructure is secure, available, and optimized.
  • Perform trend analysis to ensure capacity and performance for current and future mission demands.
  • Provide F5 BigIP load balancing and traffic load balancing support.
  • Maintain egress/ingress access points.
  • Support cloud migration initiatives and transitions from AT&T MPLS to DISA MPLS.
  • Manage asset lifecycle maintenance and coordinate schedules.
  • Ensure sufficient bench stock of equipment for network operations.
  • Support accreditations for deployment of network/equipment.
  • Provide cable management in data centers and telecom closets.
  • Perform regular patching and security updates for network systems and devices.
  • Harden network systems/devices according to DOD DISA STIG guidance.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessment audits.
  • Identify and resolve network problems using monitoring solutions.
  • Plan and execute backups and recovery operations.
  • Facilitate change approvals through the change review board.
  • Support documentation for network operations, including diagrams and SOPs.
