The Network Administrator role is essential for ensuring that the Department of Defense (DoD) has a robust and adaptable network infrastructure. This position involves leveraging technical expertise in network design, architecture, and troubleshooting to support mission-critical systems and enhance security and reliability. The role requires a proactive approach to developing and maintaining network solutions that meet the evolving needs of the DoD.
Responsibilities
- Develop enterprise-wide network infrastructure to support the DoD's missions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Analyze current network infrastructures and implement improvements for security and reliability.
- Integrate encryption gear and ensure system interoperability across various platforms.
- Utilize expertise in routing, switching, and multi-protocol label switching to enhance network capabilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in network design and architecture.
- Strong knowledge of system interoperability and network transport layers.
- Expertise in multi-protocol label switching and gateway protocols.
- Experience with IP engineering and virtual routing and forwarding.
