About the position
The Network Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting the network, compute, and storage infrastructure. This role ensures that these systems are administered effectively and maintained according to industry best practices. The analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop standards for installations, performance monitoring, and data management practices, focusing on security, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
Responsibilities
- Maintain operation of the existing network, compute, and storage infrastructure.
- Deliver enterprise-wide initiatives through collaboration with internal/external customers and vendor partners.
- Evaluate, recommend, design, build, install, manage, and troubleshoot network hardware including servers, switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Install, manage, troubleshoot, and support Windows and ESX/VMware, Unix, and Citrix XenApp servers.
- Configure and manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and WINS services.
- Implement and manage wireless networks and security certificates.
- Document network configurations and create standard operating procedures.
- Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Provide expert assistance to PC technicians and other teams.
- Participate in or lead IS projects and construction projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Five (5) years of network and system administration experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) certification or higher.
Nice-to-haves
- Microsoft MCSA or MCSE certification preferred.
- VMWare certification a plus.
