About the position

The Network Analyst/Technician position at Emory University is a central role within the Office of Information Technology, focusing on the configuration, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network services and devices. This position is critical for ensuring the smooth operation of Emory's enterprise-wide systems and applications, providing 24/7 support, and maintaining service levels.

Responsibilities

• Monitor critical processes for Emory's enterprise-wide systems and applications.
• Ensure job completions by monitoring data downloads and addressing interruptions and failures.
• Provide timely resolution of issues through interaction with others.
• Maintain 24 x 7 coverage and support, including on-call support for service restoration.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network services and devices.
• Interact with customers to resolve network issues.
• Perform inspections and upgrades of network services.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to network services.
• Conduct troubleshooting, testing, scripting, and coding activities.
• Assist with systems support and modifications to configuration.
• Report to the NOC Manager or the Run or Build Manager of Network Services.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• An associate's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Two years of related IT experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
