About the position

The Network Analyst position at SUNY Geneseo is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with relevant experience to enhance their skills in a supportive environment. The role involves providing support and maintenance for Cisco Telephony, campus wired and wireless networks, and various security devices, contributing to the overall network and information security operations of the institution.

Responsibilities

• Installation and administration of Cisco telephony services.
• Provide support and administration for campus wired and wireless networking.
• Supporting network switching and routing.
• Provide support and administration for FortiGate firewalls and other security technology.
• Supporting Microsoft 365 collaboration and Cisco Webex.
• Manage security of supported services.
• Provide integration between supported services.
• Provide customer support for services.
• Learn and improve skills related to supported services and operating systems including Cisco IOS, GitHub, JIRA, and others.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field by time of appointment.
• Demonstrated analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to grow and learn.
• Experience administering and supporting networking and computing technology.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems involving multiple systems, networking, and services.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive working/teaching environment.

• Experience providing IT customer support.

Benefits
