About the position
The Security Engineer position at TEKsystems involves providing Level 2 and 3 technology support and administration for the IT Infrastructure Network and Security Operations Team. The role requires working as part of a global team, interfacing directly with internal clients, and managing network and security technologies across multiple sites in various countries. Candidates should be creative, innovative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 and 3 technology support for network and security operations.
- Administer and troubleshoot Check Point firewalls and other network devices.
- Design and support layer 3 networks across multiple sites.
- Monitor security devices and applications for performance issues.
- Manage projects and expectations effectively across multiple teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on experience with Check Point firewalls.
- Experience with Cisco, Arista, Dell, and Mellanox switches.
- Strong Linux background and understanding.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and projects across multiple technologies.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in the media/entertainment business.
- Cisco certification (CCNA mandatory, CCNP preferable).
- Checkpoint Certification.
