About the position

The Network and Systems Engineer role involves combining technical skills with strategic thinking to support government agency missions. The engineer will design systems across multiple engineering disciplines, manage the development process from requirements gathering to implementation, and ensure client needs are met while adhering to timelines. This position emphasizes collaboration, risk management, and delivering customer-focused engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design systems that encompass multiple engineering disciplines to support various client missions.
• Orchestrate the development of systems from requirements determination through design and implementation.
• Engage with domain experts to tailor processes to meet client needs.
• Manage risk and opportunity throughout the system development lifecycle.
• Translate real-world client needs into technical specifications.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with systems engineering, integration, or administration.
• 2+ years of experience configuring and deploying non-cloud server or client architectures.
• 2+ years of experience maintaining system security, including applying patches and configuring equipment.
• Experience with requirements discovery and refinement with clients.
• Ability to reconcile client needs with delivery timelines and ensure the team remains on schedule.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working on hardware or software development projects, including end-to-end life cycle and test engineering or QA.
• Experience with process improvement.
• Ability to problem-solve and work well on a team.
