About the position

The Network Architect will join the Enterprise Architecture team to focus on strategic planning, design, and the long-term vision of network solutions that align with the organization's goals. This role involves ensuring secure and efficient access to applications, data, and tools for end users, while implementing networks that meet rigorous security standards. The architect will also be responsible for documenting the design and deployment processes, providing technology guidance, and establishing best practices around networking.

Responsibilities

• Document comprehensive network designs that integrate multiple network technologies, such as LANs, WANs, wireless networks, and VPNs.
• Design and document the entire network implementation process.
• Monitor network performance and take follow-up steps to resolve latency issues and security concerns.
• Perform regular network upgrades to create greater efficiency.
• Create documentation throughout the design and deployment process for future reference.
• Develop patterns and standards for all network designs.
• Analyze data traffic and system performance to determine future upgrades.
• Work with IT staff and third-party equipment and software vendors to ensure network needs are met.
• Research new technologies and solutions, and assess new technologies for adoption.
• Define multisite network operations and software applications.
• Train, mentor, and transfer skills to the extended team.
• Work on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple specialized architecture domains and networking layers.
• Align architecture strategy with business goals.
• Define, explain, and advocate technology strategy.

Requirements

• 7 years of experience in technical design and architecture around network equipment and network software systems.
• 7 years of experience in handling issues that arise with large networks, prioritizing network security and compliance, and understanding security protocols and firewalls.
• 7 years of experience with Network Security Frameworks and Best Practices, Cloud Networking and Virtualization Technologies, and Internet of Things (IoT) Infrastructure and Protocol.
• 7 years of experience with project data and documentation tools, and experience with developing network design documentation and presentations using VISIO.
• 5 years of experience in design, build, and maintain multi-tier networks.
• 5 years of advanced network design and architecture planning, proficiency in network simulation and modeling tools.
• 5 years of experience conducting site assessments of current remote site WAN/LAN/WLAN environments, identifying network problem areas and developing hierarchical based network designs.
• 5 years of experience designing and implementing multiple global Azure cloud solutions to support revenue generation.
