About the position

The Network Architect Engineer position is responsible for managing and designing high-capacity networking systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in a 24/7 environment. This role requires extensive experience in LAN/WAN hardware management, system design, and network operations, with a focus on ISP topologies and core switching and routing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage LAN/WAN hardware equipment including routers, switches, load balancers, and wireless network equipment.
• Design and test core switching, routing, or application delivery platforms for ISP topologies.
• Oversee network operations and monitoring in a 24/7 environment.
• Conduct system design specifications, prototyping, and testing of high-capacity networking systems.
• Monitor network performance and long-term trending of SLA, performance, and sizing metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems or a similar technical field, or 12 years of equivalent directly related experience.
• Ten years of experience managing LAN/WAN hardware equipment.
• Eight years of professional experience in networking with expert knowledge of OSI Layer-1, 2, and 3 protocols.
• Five years of experience in system design specification, prototyping, and testing of high-capacity networking systems.
• Five years of experience at an ISP or large global network provider.
• Five years of experience in network operations and monitoring for a 24/7 environment.
• Cisco CCNP and/or CCIE certifications are a must.
