About the position

The Network Architect role is a contract position focused on designing and implementing network solutions, with a strong emphasis on security and malware analysis. This position requires a blend of technical skills in scripting, programming, and reverse engineering, along with the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to address urgent issues.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement network architecture solutions.
• Conduct malcode analysis and reverse engineering of applications.
• Utilize tools such as Ghidra or IDA for malware analysis.
• Perform network forensic analysis using PCAPS and logs.
• Troubleshoot and optimize network configurations.
• Administer systems across various operating systems including Linux, Windows, and macOS.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure network security and integrity.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
• Proficiency in programming languages including Java, C, or C++.
• Malcode analysis skills and experience with reverse engineering applications.
• Familiarity with Ghidra or IDA for malware analysis.
• Ability to work outside of normal working hours, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

• GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware Certification (GREM).
• Experience in developing software applications.
• Network forensic analysis experience.
• Experience with system administration tasks.
• Knowledge of network configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Understanding of information security, network architecture, database concepts, and virtualization solutions.
