About the position

The Network Architect position at Insight Global involves addressing and resolving network issues as part of a significant network transformation project. The role focuses on implementing short-term solutions to alleviate critical pain points, developing comprehensive network documentation, and standardizing documentation practices. The architect will conduct thorough analyses of data centers and work with various networking products, ensuring effective collaboration with engineering teams to implement best practices.

Responsibilities

• Address and resolve network problems across the US as part of an ongoing network transformation project.
• Implement short-term solutions over the next six months to alleviate critical pain points.
• Develop comprehensive network documentation and establish a document repository.
• Assist in defining and standardizing network documentation practices.
• Conduct thorough analyses of three main data centers located in Clearwater, Fremont, and Greenville.
• Document existing network configurations and infrastructure in these data centers.
• Prioritize remediation efforts based on established standards and current state assessments.
• Work with products primarily from Cisco, Aruba, zScaler, and Zero Trust.
• Exhibit strong documentation skills to ensure clarity and consistency in network documentation.
• Effectively influence and collaborate with current engineering teams to implement best practices and standards.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in networking, with a deep understanding of network architecture and design.
• Proven experience in managing and analyzing data center networks.
• Familiarity with Cisco, Aruba, zScaler, and Zero Trust products.
• Exceptional ability to create detailed and accurate network documentation.
• Ability to influence and guide engineering teams towards adopting standardized practices.
