About the position

The Network Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network solutions for a large-scale environment. This role involves working closely with vendors, troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring compliance with telecommunications standards. The candidate will also analyze network capacity and manage vendor relationships to support network operations effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement network solutions for large-scale environments.
  • Review and improve existing network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot major and minor network failures.
  • Analyze network capacity and performance.
  • Manage vendor relationships and support agreements.
  • Validate network billing related to all aspects of the network.
  • Research and document communications technologies and trends.
  • Coordinate with multiple vendors for problem resolution.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in data and telecommunications, including installing, testing, and inspecting deployed communications systems.
  • 5 years of experience in installation, maintenance, and support of critical, multi-site networks.
  • 5 years of knowledge in wireline and wireless technologies, including fiber optics, T1, DS-3, MPLS, cellular technologies, CDMA, TDMA, VoIP, 5G, TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, and IP networking concepts.
  • 1 year of experience testing copper and fiber communications systems.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Visio.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 years of working knowledge of networking tools such as Fluke Versiv, netAlly AirCheck G3, netAlly nXG, iperf3, nmap, wireshark, and traceroute.
