About the position

Business Technology Integrators (BTI) is seeking a seasoned Network Automation Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead and enhance network automation initiatives. The role requires advanced scripting and software development skills, particularly in Python and PHP, along with extensive experience in network management and monitoring systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to build trusted relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead network automation initiatives and projects.
• Develop and implement automation scripts using Python and PHP.
• Manage and troubleshoot network monitoring systems, including SNMP-based products.
• Identify and resolve configuration problems before they impact service availability.
• Standardize change processes for complex network changes at scale.
• Document technical processes and create network diagrams using Visio.
• Collaborate with senior network engineering teams as needed.

Requirements

• CCNP certification (CCIE level preferred).
• At least 15 years of experience in network, data center, and network monitoring systems.
• Expertise in automation and development of full web stack.
• Advanced Python scripting experience.
• Experience with Ansible IT Network Automation is desirable.
• Familiarity with SNMP-based products such as SolarWinds, Capterra, Infoblox, and Stealthwatch.
• Strong LAN/WAN networking systems management and troubleshooting skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Juniper or Aruba networking equipment.
• Strong technical documentation skills.
• Ability to conduct repetitive tasks independently.
