About the position

The Network Automation Specialist will be part of the engineering team in the pharmaceutical industry, focusing on managing manufacturing information systems to enhance manufacturing success rates and ensure zero downtime. The role requires strong teamwork, communication skills, and the ability to train others, contributing to the overall goals of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the completion of projects and manage own time on agreed targets.
  • Develop plans for own projects and lead small project teams.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment and systems operate safely and efficiently.
  • Generate and develop standard operating procedures and job aids to support systems and equipment.
  • Analyze operational process problems and recommend corrective and preventative actions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's degree with 2+ years of experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 0+ years of experience.
  • Working knowledge of computer networking.
  • Experience with SQL, Java, C++, and Microsoft Active Directory is preferred; certifications are a bonus.
  • CompTIA, Cisco, and Palo Alto certifications are a big plus.
  • Familiarity with remote desktop/VNC, ticketing, and help desk systems.
  • Experience with industrial control systems such as DCS, PLCs, SCADAs, computerized systems, Historians, and/or SQL Server.
  • Experience in troubleshooting issues to root cause and recommending effective corrective actions.
  • Excellent interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills (written and oral).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with industrial control systems.
  • Certifications in CompTIA, Cisco, or Palo Alto.
