About the position

The Network Automation Technician will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmaceutical industry by managing and maintaining network systems. This position involves routine and preventive maintenance, project management, and the development of standard operating procedures. The technician will work closely with a dynamic engineering team to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of all equipment and systems, contributing to the overall goals of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the completion of projects and manage own time on agreed targets.
• Develop plans for own projects and lead small project teams.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment and systems work safely and efficiently.
• Generate and develop standard operating procedures and job aids to support systems and equipment.
• Analyze operational process problems and recommend corrective and preventative actions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's degree with 2+ years of experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 0+ years of experience.
• Working knowledge of computer networking.
• Experience with SQL, Java, C++, and Microsoft Active Directory.
• Familiarity with remote desktop/VNC, ticketing, and help desk systems.
• Experience with industrial control systems such as DCS, PLCs, SCADAs, and SQL Server.
• Excellent interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills (written and oral).

Nice-to-haves

• CompTIA, Cisco, and Palo Alto certifications.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting issues to root cause and recommending effective corrective actions.
