About the position

The Network Automations Solutions Developer position is a critical role focused on enhancing automation strategies within a complex enterprise environment. This position requires a blend of business acumen and technical expertise to support the Automation as a Service strategy, aimed at increasing efficiencies across various business functions. The developer will be responsible for planning, designing, developing, implementing, and integrating programmable network solutions, automations, and workflows. This role is pivotal in driving the design and development of various projects, acting as the principal point-of-contact for solution delivery, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployments. In this role, the developer will engage in innovative practices through research and process/technical analysis, collaborating with multiple teams to build and support various automations and workflows. The position is hybrid, allowing for remote work within the Eastern Time zone, and is structured as a contract-to-hire opportunity, providing a pathway to permanent employment after an initial 90-day period. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in network automation technologies and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and improvement in networking concepts and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support Automation as Service strategy and increase efficiencies across the board as identified by the business.
• Participate and be responsible for planning, designing, developing, implementing, and integrating programmable network solutions, automations, and workflows across a complex enterprise environment.
• Drive, design, develop, and support various projects as the principal point-of-contact and support solution delivery, testing, UAT, and production deployments.
• Learn to innovate through research, process/technical analysis, and collaborate with various teams to build and support various automations/workflows.

Requirements

• At least 6+ years of experience as a software developer.
• Expert level Network Automations experience is required.
• Experience with Itential, Ansible, Flask, and Forward Networks is required; Itential and Ansible are must-haves.
• Experience with Airflow, Python, and API Development/integration is preferred.
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow is highly desirable.
• Experience in large Enterprise infrastructure and networks is preferred.
• Familiarity with SDN architecture and technology, with a preference for a deep understanding of SDN, orchestration, scheduling, and cloud platforms.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on systems analysis, value proposition, business justification, and excellent presentation skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to contribute to multiple projects.
