About the position

The position is responsible for verifying patient eligibility, coordinating benefits, and determining patient coverage and financial responsibility for infusion services. This role is crucial in ensuring that patients receive the necessary care while navigating their insurance plans and financial obligations.

Responsibilities

• Perform insurance verification of benefit coverage for all patient insurance plans for each service provided.
• Obtain and document all information related to coinsurance, copay, deductibles, and authorization requirements.
• Create documentation required to service the patient per policy and payer guidelines.
• Determine estimated patient financial responsibility using insurance verification information and payer contracts.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel.
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Word.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous Intake/Admissions Experience or Medical Billing/Collections.
