About the position

The Network Benefits Coordinator at Option Care Health is responsible for verifying patient eligibility, coordinating benefits, and determining patient coverage and financial responsibility for services. This role is crucial in ensuring that patients receive the necessary infusion services while navigating their insurance plans effectively.

Responsibilities

• Performs Insurance Verification of benefit coverage on all of patient's insurance plans for each service being provided.
• Obtains and documents in the system all information related to coinsurance, copay, deductibles, authorization requirements, etc.
• Creates documentation required to service the patient per policy and payer guidelines.
• Determines estimated patient financial responsibility using insurance verification information and payer contracts and/or self-pay guidelines.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel.
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Word.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous Intake/Admissions Experience or Medical Billing/Collections.
