About the position

The Network Cloud Engineer position is a full-time role focused on delivering stable and strategic automation network solutions in the cloud. The role requires a deep understanding of networking systems, cloud services, and automation technologies, particularly in a mid to large scale enterprise environment. The engineer will work with modern Cisco equipment, AWS services, and various automation tools to enhance network performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Combine network engineering, automation, and software development skills to deliver automation network solutions in the cloud.
  • Demonstrate automation/orchestration using tools like Chef, Ansible, Python, and YAML.
  • Perform configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of IP network infrastructure (LAN and WAN devices).
  • Design and manage networking environments for mission-critical business functions.
  • Interface and coordinate with ISPs for connectivity issues and changes.
  • Mentor less experienced network engineers to maintain consistency and uniformity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
  • 8-10 years of related IT networking experience.
  • 2-3 years of Network Automation experience.
  • Cisco experience with modern Cisco equipment and design patterns, certifications desired (CISSP, CISSA).
  • Understanding of cloud services, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS) and exposure to products like EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, and Cloud Watch.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Fortinet and FortiOS based products.
  • Knowledge of Routing Protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and Gateway Redundancy Protocols.
  • Experience with automation scripting in PHP, Perl, PowerShell, or C++.
  • Certifications in relevant networking technologies.
