About the position

The Network/Communications Engineer at Nakupuna Solutions is responsible for supporting military customers by implementing and configuring networking hardware and software. This role involves working closely with other technical engineers to deliver innovative solutions for clients, ensuring that network infrastructures meet customer requirements. The position requires travel to various government installations across the United States and demands a high level of technical expertise in networking technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support verification site surveys at government installations to document current network infrastructure.
• Assist Senior Network/Communications Engineers in implementing technical solutions for clients.
• Provide feedback on improvements to technical solutions being implemented.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, inventory, and documentation for installations.
• Configure network routing and switching equipment.
• Understand networking technologies, topologies, and protocols (TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VLANs, Ethernet).
• Implement, operate, and troubleshoot IP-based Data networks (LAN/WAN/MAN) using Cisco IOS.
• Work independently in a global team environment.
• Apply analytical skills to decision-making for creative solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a Technology related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in telecommunications and networking.
• Minimum 3 years of experience delivering solutions to government clients.
• Cisco CCNA, CCNP Certification is desired.
• Active Secret Security clearance required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
