About the position

The Network Consulting Engineer - III role involves working with an established RF design group to enhance designs for all RF nodes in the network, focusing on oDAS technology and architecture. The position requires proficiency in configuring oDAS sites using Atoll and entails responsibilities such as site selection, RF design, and project management in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with an established RF design group to increase designs for all RF nodes in the network.
• Perform oDAS to small cell conversion design and modifications of existing oDAS designs with multiple vendors.
• Create plumbing diagrams and file E911/Regulatory documentation.
• Create and update Atoll records for mmWV & oDAS systems.
• Collaborate effectively as a team member, demonstrating good organization and self-motivation.
• Handle repetitive tasks and work under high pressure with vague guidelines.

Requirements

• Proficient with oDAS architecture and technology, specifically with vendors such as CROWN, ATC, and EXTENET.
• Experience configuring oDAS sites in Atoll.
• RF Design Experience with Samsung equipment.
• Knowledge of RF theory and practice, as well as LTE/VoLTE/5G technology.
• Antenna knowledge and experience selecting antennas for 4G/5G technology.
• Familiarity with propagation modeling software, particularly Atoll.
• Good communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of LTE network KPIs and key parameters.
• Experience designing 5G/4G Small cells and mmWV.
• Preferred tool experience includes Atoll and project management tools like VZW specific tools such as FUZE/SPM/CANVAS.
• Proficiency in Excel with VB macro creation and worksheet manipulation.
