About the position

The Network Consulting Engineer - III position involves working with an established RF design group to enhance designs for RF nodes in the network. The role requires proficiency in oDAS architecture and technology, particularly with vendors such as CROWN, ATC, and EXTENET, and involves configuring oDAS sites using Atoll. The engineer will also be responsible for performing oDAS to small cell conversion designs and modifications, creating plumbing diagrams, and managing regulatory filings.

Responsibilities

• Work with an established RF design group to increase designs for all RF nodes in the network.
• Perform oDAS to small cell conversion design and modifications of existing oDAS designs with multiple vendors.
• Create plumbing diagrams and file E911/Regulatory documentation.
• Create and update Atoll records for mmWV & oDAS systems.
• Collaborate effectively as a team member, demonstrating good organization and self-motivation.
• Handle repetitive tasks and work in a high-pressure environment with vague guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 3-5 years of experience.
• Proficient with oDAS architecture and technology, specifically with CROWN/ATC/EXTENET.
• Proficient in configuring oDAS sites in Atoll.
• RF Design Experience with Samsung equipment.
• Knowledge of RF theory and practice, as well as LTE/VoLTE/5G technology.
• Experience selecting the right antenna for 4G/5G technology.
• Knowledge of propagation modeling software such as Atoll.
• Good communication skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of LTE network KPIs and key parameters.
• Experience designing 5G/4G Small cells, mmWV.
• Preferred tool experience: Atoll, knowledge of designing a cell site for mmWV/oDAS, and project management.
• Experience with VZW specific tools such as FUZE/SPM/CANVAS.
• Excel with VB macro creation and worksheet manipulation.
