About The Position

The Network and Cybersecurity Analyst at Plymouth Foam Inc. is responsible for protecting the company's computer networks from cyberattacks and unauthorized access. This role focuses on cybersecurity and network management, working across various IT domains to secure, manage, and troubleshoot critical systems. The analyst will report to the VP of Information Technology and will play a key role in monitoring network traffic, identifying security threats, and implementing security measures.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of network security protocols and best practices.
  • Experience with endpoint security measures and tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
  • Familiarity with data backup and restoration processes.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing IT assets and documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP).
  • Experience with network monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards related to cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring network traffic and identifying potential security threats.
  • Participate in identifying and reporting security incidents, following predefined protocols.
  • Support the implementation of endpoint security measures, ensuring antivirus and antimalware tools are up-to-date.
  • Assist in managing user access to networks and systems according to cybersecurity best practices.
  • Serve as a point of contact for end-user support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Assist users with the setup, configuration, and installation of authorized software.
  • Perform maintenance tasks on onsite servers, including system updates and patches.
  • Manage data backup schedules and support the restoration process to ensure data availability.
  • Reimage computers for new deployments, ensuring secure configuration before distribution.
  • Manage the storage and reallocation of computers from former employees, ensuring data is securely wiped.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT assets, ensuring accurate documentation and accountability.
  • Provide occasional weekend support for projects, upgrades, or critical issues.
