About the position

The Network Data and Security Architect position is a critical role focused on ensuring the security and efficiency of network infrastructure within the organization. This position requires extensive experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, where the candidate will be responsible for designing and managing security policies tailored for enterprise-level environments. The role demands hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching, particularly with Cisco products, and actual physical experience in large data centers is preferred. The architect will also need to be an expert in NetScaler Load Balancers, capable of handling escalated tickets at the L3 level and recommending best practices for network management. In addition to resolving technical issues, the Network Data and Security Architect will participate in requirement gathering sessions to provide solutions that align with industry standards and best practices. The role involves working on various network infrastructure projects, including upgrades, transitions, and replacements, while also recommending optimal network security policies. Collaboration with different OEM vendors to identify the best products and solutions is essential, as is conducting vulnerability assessments and remediating any identified issues within the network security infrastructure. The architect will analyze network performance metrics such as availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency, and will be responsible for documenting and implementing network policies and procedures. Strong communication skills are necessary, as the architect will need to articulate technical concepts clearly and effectively to various stakeholders. The position requires an engineering degree in Computer Science or a related field, ensuring that the candidate possesses the foundational knowledge necessary for this complex role.

Responsibilities

• Resolving escalated tickets at L3 level in all network areas like Firewall, Load Balancer, Routing and Switching.
• Participate in requirement gathering and providing solutions as per best practices and industry standards.
• Work on network infrastructure projects like upgrades, transitions, and replacements.
• Recommend best network security policies.
• Work with different OEM vendors to identify the best products and solutions.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation for network security infrastructure.
• Analyze network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and recommend solutions.
• Manage Incident/Problem/Change/Service Request/Configuration Management.
• Define/Document network policies and procedures and perform implementation.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in Palo Alto Firewall.
• In-depth experience in designing and managing security policies for enterprise-level environments.
• Hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching with Cisco products, preferably in large data centers.
• Expertise in NetScaler Load Balancer with the ability to handle tickets escalated to L3 level and recommend best practices.
• Experience in Azure environment regarding cloud network products and connectivity from on-prem to cloud.
• Ability to recommend best practices and solutions for Network Security, Load Balancer, or routing and switching.
• Experience in creating network designs, HLD, LLD, etc.
• Good communication skills and ability to demonstrate technical skills.
• Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
