About the position

Wipro is seeking a Network Data Engineer to join our team in Dallas, TX. This position is crucial for supporting our customers with engineering work related to Cisco hardware, including switches, routers, WAN/LAN, SDWAN, and WLANs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering and will be responsible for managing incidents, performing periodic updates on customer devices, and ensuring compliance with change control processes. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. As a Network Data Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in IP routing and subnets, design custom VLANs, and assist in the migration of services to IPV6. In this role, you will be expected to support customers during downtimes, manage escalations, and build custom reports. The position requires availability to support customers outside of regular working hours as needed for immediate downtimes, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service and support.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience working with voice and data
  • Knowledge of Routing/ Switching/ Telco-Transport Layer/ Mobility and ISP environments
  • Knowledge of IP and Enterprise Network
  • Knowledge and troubleshooting experience with Cisco hardware including, switches, routers, WAN/LAN, SDWAN and WLANs
  • Good knowledge of Cisco, Meraki devices experience and network knowledge in managing LAN/WAN
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Resourceful, with the ability to work independently
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior networking experience in the telecom domain (AT&T, Verizon etc.) for enterprise customers
