About the position

The Network/Data Engineer is responsible for providing operational support, design, engineering, and planning for complex global data network and communications projects. This role involves working with TCP/IP and related protocols in a 24/7 environment, focusing on the migration of Edge devices to a new White Box Core platform and ensuring the deployment and configuration of new networking equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide custom data network operational support for global projects.
• Execute migrations of Edge devices to a new White Box Core platform.
• Deploy new routers, switches, and trunk capacity, and configure them accordingly.
• Perform real-time in-depth analysis and trouble resolution for incidents related to CISCO, Juniper, and other Data Communications Network Technology platforms.
• Schedule and execute the migration of Edge devices from a CRS Core Platform to a White Box Core Platform during maintenance windows.
• Turn up new devices and augment to the new White Box Core Platform.
• Execute software upgrades on Juniper devices.

Requirements

• Cisco CCNA certification is a must-have.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is desired.
• Experience in project-based work within a team environment.
• Experience in new build configuration on IOS, IOS-XR, and Arista EOS.
• Knowledge of cloud computing and Whitebox technology.
• Proficiency in Ethernet/L2 & L3 troubleshooting.
