About the position

The Network Deployment Planner role at Amazon Data Services involves planning and executing network capacity deployments across various data center locations. This position is crucial for ensuring that the infrastructure resources are available for project execution, collaborating with multiple teams to deliver customer capacity efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data center networking, project management, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to project timelines.
• Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Install/Deployment Technicians, Supply Chain & Procurement, Network Engineers, and Technical Project Managers to ensure smooth delivery of customer capacity.
• Coordinate design, project timelines/schedules, and construction milestones.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path effectively.

Requirements

• 5+ years of data center networking experience working with optics and bulk fiber.
• 3+ years of experience working with large scaling infrastructure deployments.
• 3+ years of experience working with 3rd party vendors on large projects.
• 1+ years of project management experience.
• Strong understanding of networking principles, data center operations, cable infrastructure, and fiber solutions.
