About the position

The Network Deployment Specialist at BAI Connect plays a vital role in the Field Operations team, focusing on the construction, operation, and maintenance of network infrastructure for residential and commercial services. This position requires a subject matter expert who can mentor technicians and ensure that network deployments meet company standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the construction of network infrastructure facilities to company standards and specifications.
• Provide directions to Network Deployment Technicians.
• Mentor and guide technicians as a subject matter expert.
• Analyze and troubleshoot basic technical problems or issues.
• Build out closets and dress bundles of cables in closets under the direction of the Lead.
• Set up switching/routing hardware, install, and configure equipment.
• Review, interpret, and work with various cut sheets, drawings, blueprints, and testing documents.
• Test, diagnose, and correct copper problems.
• Respond to residential installation/break-fix appointments in the market.
• Document completed deployments via as-built photos and screenshots of speed tests.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience in a related or similar technical field.
• Knowledge of telecom, construction, and network service.
• Ability to read, review, interpret, and understand technical documents.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass drug screening and background check.
• Ability to work varying shifts and hours including possible mandatory overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Working knowledge of using hand and power tools.
